Me and my partner, Jonah have always been lovers of all things old, art and music. This Takes Time is our vintage curation and handmade stuff business. We collect vintage clothes and homewares, as well as art and accessories. Jonah helps curate audio systems sourcing quality vintage vinyl players and speakers. I use my branding expertise to help people express themselves in their home and wardrobes—sourcing handmade, vintage and one-of-a-kind pieces.

We of course, named the brand & I am responsible for the visual identity. I was inspired by vintage makers marks— on furniture, pottery and other antiques. the simple, but kind of rough and eclectic feel of letterpress, the macro details of a handmade object, and the textures of the items in your home served as inspiration as well. The pigeon has always been my muse, they have such personality & they are the Original New Yorkers, so it was only right for the brand mark. - You’ll see a little hand written cursive “ttt” mark in the pigeon’s wing— giving the otherwise harsh shape, a little bit of movement.

We believe that all good things take time, and that the best things are the ones where you can see human touch in it, or makes you notice or wonder how it was created.
