Me and my husband, Jonah have always been lovers of all things old, art and music. This Takes Time is our second hand and handmade stuff business. We collect vintage clothes and homewares, as well as art and accessories. Jonah curates audio systems sourcing quality vintage record players and speakers. I use my branding expertise to help people express themselves in their home and wardrobes.

We named the brand & I am responsible for the visual identity. I was inspired by vintage makers marks— on furniture, pottery and other antiques. the simple, but kind of rough, eclectic feel of letterpress andthe macro details of a handmade object. The pigeon has always been my muse, they have such personality & they are the Original New Yorkers, so it was only right for the brand mark. - You’ll see a little hand written cursive “ttt” mark in the pigeon’s wing— giving the otherwise harsh shape, a little bit of movement.

We believe that all good things take time, and that the best things are the ones where you can see human touch in it, or makes you wonder how it was created.
